The day started with a short fitness session to warm up before we broke up into groups for the taster sessions. Starting with SUPing we learned basic paddle strokes before trying more adventurous moves and turns! Finishing with a race it was great fun and everyone found it easy to pick up.
Next was windsurfing which was a bit harder! We learned how the board and sail worked and then it was time to give it a go! We had great fun and although there was a lot of wobbling by the end of the session I was starting to have some control over the direction I was going in!
We then had lunch in the Lagoon Cafe - all home made and yummy!
Then we were split into 3 groups for wakebaording! The amazing ladies from Wide Awake Women gave great tips and my friend who had never tried wakeboarding before popped up and was flying up and down with a huge grin. This was by far the most physically challenging part of the day but amazing fun.
I was lucky enough to be directly involved in the most recent ladies day - teaching SUP Yoga to over 30 ladies in the afternoon! The ladies from Wide Awake were on top form on the wakeboard cables and Amy Carter from FLOW was on hand to take care of the windsurfing tuition.
